Nitin was fed up with the persistent stench of chemicals coming from the apartment of the tenant on the ground floor. He had approached the landlord, expressing his frustrations about this new tenant, a self-proclaimed scientist, who was creating havoc with his reckless experiments. Unfortunately, the landlord, currently on vacation abroad, was unable to help alleviate Nitin’s suffering and promised to look into the matter upon his return in a month.

While Nitin was about to have his lunch at 1 pm, things escalated to such an unbearable level today that Nitin stormed into the home of the ‘scientist,’ Pranab.

“Hey, Mr. Nitin, come in! I just completed a groundbreaking experiment!” Pranab exclaimed enthusiastically. Before Nitin could voice his complaints about the overwhelming odour, Pranab eagerly presented a pair of gloves that reeked like they had just been crafted.

“Put these on, and you’ll become invisible for three hours! You can wander anywhere, completely undetected. After three hours, you’ll magically return to this spot,” he said, beaming with excitement. In a flash, he thrust the gloves into Nitin’s hands, and suddenly, Nitin felt as light as a feather.

“Go anywhere you want, and don’t fret—no one will see or hear you,” Pranab assured him.

Although Nitin was initially taken aback by the bizarre turn of events, he quickly decided to turn this unexpected situation into an opportunity. He had a tax raid to accompany his senior in the evening at 5 pm, and this newfound invisibility could provide him with the perfect chance to scout the premises of the wealthy businessman targeted in the raid. Nitin envisioned making a lasting impression on his superior, which could lead to a promotion.

With a rush of excitement, Nitin arrived at the grand estate of the businessman, only to be shocked by the chaos unfolding before him. People were frantically loading large boxes into a truck.

“We have five hours until the raid—hurry up, move this wealth! Take it to my bungalow in Lonavala!” the imposing businessman barked orders.

Clearly, someone in our department has tipped them off,’ Nitin whispered to himself. Just then, he spotted his colleague Arvind accepting bundles of cash from the businessman’s son.

“You traitor!” Nitin shouted, but his voice went unheard. Unsure if he could use his phone to take photos, he felt the device in his pocket. ‘What’s the harm? This scoundrel needs to be caught.’ With determination, he cautiously snapped pictures from behind a window, relieved that no one seemed to notice. Perhaps even his phone was invisible; he couldn’t tell.

True to Pranab’s words, Nitin reappeared in his own form after three hours. Although Pranab eagerly awaited details of his experience, Nitin excused himself, claiming he had urgent matters to attend to.

Not only did the raid go off without a hitch at the bungalow in Lonavala, but Arvind was also apprehended, and Nitin was rewarded with a well-deserved promotion. He had Pranab—the scientist—to thank for this incredible turn of events.
