• Pronounced Guilty is an apt topic for this engaging narrative by a versatile writer, Ms Monica Singh.

The narrative revolves around three important characters: Dushyant Dave, the idealistic advocate on a mission to rehabilitate convicts; Vijendar Singh, a former convict trying to forget his past and seeking a second chance in life; and Dr. Anusuya Savarkar, a psychologist, though plagued by her own burdens, who makes efforts to understand the minds of the inmates.

This compelling narrative makes the reader think about the system of justice and the life of convicts.

Somewhere down the book, you start empathizing with the convicts, if not all, at least those who have done an act of crime at the spur of the moment for so many reasons beyond their control.
Rehabilitation of the inmates is not going to be an easy job.

One must read this book, as we generally do not bother to see ‘the other side’ of a convict. That one person is a convict is more than enough for the world to hate him/her.
What happens in the end? Is the advocate successful in his mission?

To know that, One must read this exceptionally well-written book by Ms Monica Singh.
